Mysore

A Mysore style Ashtanga yoga class is an assisted self practice class. It’s a method differs from the usual way of teaching yoga. The class is not “led” as a whole, but rather all instruction is one-on-one within the group class setting. Students practice their own portion of the Ashtanga sequence of asanas at their own pace. The teacher assists each student individually by giving physical adjustments & verbal instruction.

In Mysore style class, students learn the fixed order of asanas combining movement with free breathing, with sound. Through vinyasa, there is continuity via the breath from one asana to the next, so that each asana builds from the previous one.

Every weekdays On Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 6:30-7:30am

Ashtanga led hour

Ashtanga led hour class is a modified version of a traditional 90-minute class, which counted in Sanskrit that takes you through a full led primary series of the Ashtanga vinyasa method. Students are led through the vinyasas in a continuous rhythm, with an emphasis on asana names and breath counts.

Led class reinforces the proper vinyasa system you learn in the Mysore class, when to inhale and when to exhale as you enter in and out of each asana. Following the teacher’s pace and counting in led class instills discipline and helps build both mental and physical strength of students.

When vinyasa is perfect, the mind is under control.
